GDA Day - 2 Nov 2008

It has been a good day of darts on ITV with the European Championship hasn't it. Phil Taylor and his triumphs, what a joy to watch a pure master at work!!!! Also although Carlos Rodriguez from Cataluña was beaten by Ronnie Baxter he has had a very good run in this tournament and it is clearly showing the quality of our good friend as he has and is and will continue to beat the top players out there (its not everyone who can manage to see of the likes of Terry Jenkins you know).

Before I start on my venture of preparing yet another article for the Media I needed to finish off a few pending things, which I have listed below:

Txted George Federico (although he is on a Cruise), he has informed me that he won the 1st singles in Malta (Med Cup in 2004) including some others, for example he got to the semi's of the Cyprus Open with over 600 participants and he won the Greek Open in 2007. All this is useful information which I am hoping to mention at our 50th Gala anniversary dinner.

It all shows that since around 2004 we have been knocking on the door at international events and have achieved several International wins (myself included - Torremolinos Open Pairs 2006/07 & 2007/08). I am hoping I can find the time to record these efforts somewhere and I am sure I will do, in due course.

I also managed to reply by email to the organiser in Madrid who contacted me recently about the PDC Qualifiers in Gibraltar so lets see what he has to say and I'll keep you all informed.

Darren has completed the disciplinary letter which we will send to the player in question and we have decided that the disciplinary board will be DarrenO. (secretary), TichO (vice-president) and myself (as President I have to be).
