The day started well and I got on with my usual stuff which was sending a few emails concerning the inception of the Med Cup. This surprised me as apparently the 1st Med Cup on record was in Bulgaria way back in 1999 (according to the Med Cup President Michael Savides). Michael however informed me that the Italian Manager could help me out further so I have sent them an email too.
Then night time came and I headed off to our GDA committee meeting. As it happens and I can't say much here as information is quite sensitive we discussed the issue of "rumours" that circulate around Gibraltar which is unfortunate but it does happen.
Concerning myself and rumours, all I can say is that it is my obligation to investigate and to receive as much feedback from all the members so that a correct solution to potential problems can be reached. If then those members regarded my answers to their questions for usage against me/others or to spread fire and further rumours, then their is nothing I can do about that other than to be more selective on who I speak to.
My opinion is always and will always be in the interests of the whole association whoever doubts that is very wrong (as president thats my primary objective). It is a good learning curve to make people accountable for their actions.
