Well well well!!!!!!! As it turns out it was a great competition after all, I reached the final but lost against Dylan Duo.
ManoloV. took the whole family and it was nice to see that others from Gibraltar joined the band wagon, we were 14 in total including the youth player which I was glad came along so he could experience darts outside Gibraltar (at whatever level).
We came back with two lovely Xmas hampers full of goodies and Dylan also won the raffle. I tell you they were not happy but at least none of spanish players and spectators made us feel unwelcome.
I did really well considering I had a thumping headache. There was a good turnout of over 64 men. I went through the winners side up until the semi-finals and then had to win another three games before meeting Dylan.
It was strange as I even shouted when I got a few critical game shots and high finishes, I apologized immediately but it must have been the bloody headache I had.
I won more games than Dylan on the day but in turn he only lost 2 legs in the whole competition which was played best of 3.
That's at least 5 consecutive finals I have been in when I've gone to Spain to play (1 trebles win, 1 pairs win and 3 singles finalist and 1 singles semifinalist). It's like ManoloV. told me that he would sign anywhere if he got to every final even if you lose it.
