On reflection of the past two days the World Pro Playoffs & Winmau have been a success for me, even though I lost in the 1st rounds! I am very happy about my performances.
I must say however the venue looked small both days because of the layout & setup.
For years I have noticed that the boards move a lot, it is quit difficult to move the 20 segment (at least for a short guy like myself) and the corner boards were one plays is an absolute nightmare as you have people constantly passing by as you throw, stopping, staring, talking etc etc.
The BDO should really do something about this as they could have laid out the boards in a better way for the players and not the spectators.
Today we saw a few games, I went with the Youth player and as it was his 1st time at such a major it is always nice for any newbie to see the stage games being played and also appreciate were the root players come from and that the quality in the WDF/BDO is also very high.
That evening we had a nice time at the Winmau Banquet, heard some live music from "The Fantastics" and a soloist who tried his best to keep the crowd on the dance floor.
