I've been trying to relax all day as its certain that tonight will be hectic. I help myself by printing the entry sheets with the members that will be over 18 before the 1st competition which is usually May (this will avoid confusion on the night as to who is eligible to play).
Before heading up to the rankings Darren gets hold of me as he has misplaced the ranking sheets for the jotting down of results, I am not surprised but I manage to find the excel sheets and print them off to take tonight.
Knowing that I have so much on my plate I send the Friendship Cup article to the press / contacts & members. I would have done it yesterday but as I have an older version of office at home I cant reduce the file sizes to an acceptable level for sending via email so I compressed the file at work and then sent the article from home during my lunch break.
I don't do well and lose in the prelims against George Ramos, so I have 3 other rankings to go to see if I can at least make the top 8 or even the top 4. Practice, practice practice....
The night went as expected with seeds 1 & 2 reaching the final and I wont say much here as I will end up repeating myself cos an article is on its way....
I will say however that all articles are published on our website http://www.gibraltardarts.com/ and if you click on the honours & history link on the left you can view all the articles since I've been president.
