Hits Hits Hits - 28 Oct 2008

A typical day has ensued today with DysonP. calling me about a few queries I had for him to answer. In return I have received invaluable input from Sue (his mum, a good friend of mine) and Dyson concerning the history of darts in Gib.

For one, Sue managed to call a previous GDA President, Leslie Ward, and I have been given more names to add on the Roll of Honours (previous chairmen). Including which Professionals have been to Gibraltar to do exhibitions & for our annual presentation awards ceremony.

Amongst the elite we can include (in no particular order): Mike Gregory, Phil Taylor, Peter Evison, Dennis Priestley, Cliff Lazarenko, Jocky WIlson and Eric Bristow NOT BAD EH!!!!!

Some interesting info as well for example, Dennis Priestley played against Dyson Parody & Christopher Peach on the Quadruple board.

On the normal routine of the day I added contacts to the emailing list, replied to Michael Savvides, president of the Med Cup (congratulations on your daughters graduation) concerning the Med Cup, went to see Darren to hand him some 2nd division membership sheets and also converted a document in publisher that Darren gave me, as that needs to be converted to a more portable format such as PDF so that they can be emailed to members (members check your inbox you have yet another email from me).

Lastly I posted an entry on the famous Spanish forum http://www.darderos.com/ concerning the PDC Players Championships coming up in January and advising them about the qualifiers that will be hosted in Spain too this year (apart from the ones in Gibraltar). As I write this I have received a reply from Carlos Rodriguez, and over 46 reads (hits), and the post has only been up less than 30 minutes, good eh!!!!

All in all 4 hours....
